Arthur "Johnny" Johnson Sutherland Jr.

Arthur “Johnny” Johnson Sutherland Jr. 63, of Forsyth County, saddled up one last time and rode into the sunset on Monday, November 3rd, 2025.

Johnny grew up in Winston Salem until he was a teenager and enjoyed his adult  life in Reidsville, NC. Johnny was known for being hardworking, stubborn yet sensitive man, with a heart of gold. He enjoyed anything outdoors; riding horses, fishing, picking on his nieces and nephews, watching westerns and doing his crossword puzzles.

Johnny will be missed by Patricia (sister), James (brother), Robert (brother), Cindi and Windi (sisters), and the one who cared for him in his last years, Jessica (niece) as well as a large group of extended family and friends.

Johnny is preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Elaine; father, Arthur Johnson Sutherland Sr.; mother, Sadie Mae; brothers and sister, Michael Eugene, Billy Joe, Charles Thomas, Kathy Lynn; and his aunts and uncles, Donald Lee, Eugene Aubry and Kathelene. The family is honoring Johnnys’ and will be holding a memorial service at a later time. We will love you forever.
