Ann Brown O’Mara, 85, of Reidsville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at the Gibson House.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at Wilkerson Funeral Home, with Pastor Shannon Newsome officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Saturday, November 15th, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.
Ann was born in Rockingham County to the late Benjamin A. Brown and Edna Mitchell Brown. At age 15, she married her husband and moved to Clarksville, Tennessee, where she began life as a devoted military wife. She returned to Reidsville in the mid-1960s, where she raised her family and began a career with Miller Brewing Company until her retirement.
Following her husband’s passing, Ann embraced a new chapter in life. She met her loving companion of 33 years, Mike Roberts, and together they traveled extensively throughout the United States and abroad. She especially cherished her adventures in Paris with Glenn Helms.
Ann was involved in her community, serving on several local boards, including the planning board. A passionate sports enthusiast, she enjoyed golf and bowling. She loved to cook, entertain family and friends, and was known for her keen eye as an avid shopper.
Ann was a longtime member of Reidsville Christian Church and will be remembered for her warmth, adventurous spirit, and love for life.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas P. O’Mara; daughter, Patricia O. Wilson; sister, Charlotte Brown O’Bryant; nephew, Tommy O’Bryant; two special friends, Elaine Meeks and Ailene Case; and pets, Charie, Sydney, Elizabeth Ann and Daisy.
She is survived by her Son, Shawn Patrick O’Mara; granddaughter, Charlene Outland (Tommy), great grandchildren, Jackson and Skyler Outland; significant other, Mike Roberts; nephew Timmy O’Bryant (Angie); niece, Beverly O’Mara Badders; special friends, Ianthia Walker and Linda Long; fur babies, Missy Prissy, Rafael, MaeBelle, Sir Windsor and Dutchess Wallis; and she was a second mother to “Her Boys”, Jimmy Brady, Rusty Small, Dr. Rhett Brown, Carl Brinson, Dr. Frankie Simmons, Anthony Simmons, Glen Read, Marty McKinney and Jason Oergel.
