Thomas Howard Rumley

Thomas Howard Rumley, 101, of Reidsville, went to be with his Lord and Savior on February 13, 2020. Tom was a WWII Army Veteran and was retired from the American Tobacco Company. He loved to fish and raised the most delicious tomatoes in his backyard. Tom was preceded in death by his loving wife, Helen Walker Rumley and his mother, Mittie Rumley Scott. He is survived by his daughter, Patricia Rumley Bradsher; grandchildren, Michael William Bradsher and Patricia Michelle Bradsher McHugh; great grandchildren, Eli William Bradsher and Nolan James McHugh; many beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews. There will be a private graveside service with Brother David Underwood and Pastor Mike Jones officiating. There will be no formal visitation. The family would like to thank Dr. Steve Luking, not only for his care of Tom, but also the friendship they shared. Also thank you to the angels at Brookdale of Reidsville, we will need list for fear of failing to mention someone, you know who you are. Thanks to all the wonderful sitters, Dee, Brenda, Bernice, Carolyn, Cathy, Reata and Jada. Tom thought a lot of all the residents he knew at Brookdale, especially Roger, but he loved you all. Thank you also to Hospice, nurses, social workers, nurses aide and chaplain.
