Ruby London Poteat

Ruby London Poteat, 94, of Reidsville, went home to be with The Lord on October 29, 2018 at UNC Rockingham Health Care (Formerly Morehead Hospital). Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens with Rev. Ralph Clayton officiating. Mrs. Poteat was born in Rockingham County to the late, John and Ida London. She retired from the American Tobacco Company with over 40 years of service. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed watching golf in her later years. Mrs. Poteat was a precious lady that enjoyed flowers and the outdoors. Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sisters, Annie Cobb, Lizzie London, Sadie London, Dora Alverson, Irene Flyntt, Clara Cole, Margie London and Alice Owens; her brothers, Harvey London, Ossie London and Houston London. She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Houston Poteat and numerous nieces and nephews.
