Rev. Cleveland Strange Duke, Jr.

Rev.Cleveland Strange Duke, Jr., 87, passed away on Saturday, April 3, 2021 at Penn Nursing Center. A graveside service will be held at 2:00PM on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at Evergreen Memory Gardens with Rev. Jay Willard, Joey Pellino and Chaplin, Patricia Wright officiating. Rev. Duke was born in Beaufort County to the late Cleveland Strange Duke, Sr. and Cecille Patrick Duke and was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean Conflict. He served the Lord over fifty years in the ministry at various churches and was always willing to help where he could. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his aunt and uncle, Virginia Ann and Ralph Green. Survivors are his wife, Mary Lou Duke; son, Patrick Cleveland Duke of Gastonia; daughter, Davida Lewis and husband, David of Reidsville; sisters, Ann Saunders and Barbara Jones and several nieces and nephews.
