Gibsonville: Nannie Lunsford Andrews, 86, passed away on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Beacon Place Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dave Johnson and Rev. Larry Gray officiating. There will be no formal visitation. The family will have a private interment at a later date. Mrs. Andrews was born in Person County to the late James Clinton Lunsford and Gladys Annie Dixon Lunsford. She began her nursing career at Butner Mental Facility and then went on to work at Wesley Long Hospital. She later became a private nurse for Dr. Philip Mann of Burlington and retired from Fellowship Hall as a specialized drug rehabilitation nurse. She was a member of Apple’s Chapel Christian Church where she was a former Sunday School teacher for the youth group for many years and was a member of the Couples for Christ Sunday School Class. Nannie enjoyed camping, traveling and playing golf with her husband. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John T. Andrews; sons, James Michael Morris and Kenneth Webb Morris; step daughter, Donna Andrews; step grandson, John Hundley; brothers, James “Pee Wee” Lunsford and William Lunsford and sister, Jane Critcher. Survivors include her daughter, Debra Caulder and husband, Jerry; grandson, Brooks Caulder; canine nurse, Miss Cameron Sophia “Flossy” Caulder; granddaughter, Nicole Wilkerson and husband, Jay; great grandchildren, Dylan Wilkerson and Austin Wilkerson; step daughter, Linda Burgin and husband, Bruce; step grandchildren, Gail, Beverly and Stephanie; step great grandchildren, Logan, Allison and Matthew; sisters, Pat Wilkins-Lee and Nettie Ann Hargis and husband, Ray. The family has been shown so many acts of love and kindness during their loss. So with their appreciation, they request that you share the same love, kindness and compassion for someone else that is in need. Friends are welcome to visit the home of our special friend and family member, Judy Wyrick, 3401 Huffine Mill Road, immediately following the service to enjoy food and fellowship in honor of Mrs. Andrews.
