Mary Ellen Moore Lovings

Mary Ellen Moore Lovings, 94, passed away on Thursday, December 24, 2020 with her loving family by her side.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Monday, December 28, 2020 at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Marvin Bowman officiating. Burial will follow in New Lebanon Church Cemetery. Please be aware of social distancing and wearing a mask.

Mary was a born in Rockingham County to the late Joe Thacker Moore and Ellen Sharpe Moore. She was a farmer, homemaker and cooked at the 4H Center for 23 years. She also received her CNA at the age of 65. She attended New Lebanon Church until she was 16 years old then became a long time member of Faith Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Buford Lovings; children, Ruth Ore and Gilbert Ray Lovings and 7 siblings.

Mary is survived by her children, Charles Lovings and wife, Valerie, Charlotte Smith, Larry Lovings and wife, Susan, Arthur Lovings and wife, Connie, Jennie Cheek and husband, Mark, Bonnie Easley and husband, Mike and Scottie Lovings; 17 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; 11 great great grandchildren; brother, Kirby Moore and wife Linda; sister, Sarah Brame and daughter-in-law, Robin Lovings.

The family would like to thank Penn Nursing Center for the care and concern given to Mrs. Lovings during her stay there.
