Lea Ellen Perdue Price

Lea Ellen Perdue Price, 91, passed away on Thursday, August 15, 2019, at Annie Penn Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family. A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 19, 2019, at 11AM at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. George Fletcher officiating. Burial will follow at Reidlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home in Reidsville one hour prior to the service at 10:00 AM and other times at the homeplace. Mrs. Price was born on February 26, 1928 in Rockingham County to the late Charles Oscar Perdue and Rosa Elizabeth “Lizzy” Paschal. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She offered a helping hand to anyone in need. Her hobbies included shopping (always finding the best bargain), tending to her flowers, and going places with her friends and family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Price; infant son, Mark; two brothers: Calvin and Robert Perdue; and sister-in-law Helen Perdue. Along with her parents she is survived by her children: Marshall Price and wife, Joanna, Keith Price and wife, Kay, and Charles Price , all of Reidsville; grandchildren: Brandi Price, Michelle Price, and Travis Price and wife, Heather, and Justin Jarvis; great grandchildren: Dixie Jarrell, Memphis Lawson, Layla Lawson, Havannah Lawson, Ebony Price, Anslee Price and JoHanna Price; sister-in-law Rethea Perdue; Nieces: Peggy Fletcher and husband, Rev. George, Betty Jean Collins and husband, Tommy, and Vickie Uzelac and husband, Mirko; Nephew, Mike Perdue and wife, Lisa; a special cousin, Nira Knowles; and a large extended family. The family would like to express a sincere thank you to the staff of Annie Penn Memorial Hospital for the care that she received there.
