Joyce Ann Loftis Obey

Joyce Ann Loftis Obey, 64, of Reidsville, NC passed away on December 16, 2020 at Beverly Rucker Family Care. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at Evergreen Memory Gardens with Rev. Peter Dodge officiating. The family will receive friends at the home of Lori Newcomb, 910 Lesley Place, Reidsville, NC. Joyce will lie in state at Wilkerson Funeral Home and you are invited to pay your respects and sign a register. Joyce was born in Danville, VA to the late Walter L. Loftis, Sr. and Elizabeth Cantrell Loftis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Obey; brother, Walter Loftis, Jr.; sister, Vicky Loftis; half- brothers, Bobby and Johnny Barber. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She is survived by her daughter, Lori Newcomb; grandchildren, Samantha, Priscilla, C.J. and Isabella East; sister, Brenda Loftis; half-brother, Otha Barber; aunts, Frances Burns and Betty Jean Higgs.
