Heather Dianne May

Walnut Cove: Heather Dianne May, 41, of Walnut Cove, North Carolina unexpectedly went home to be with The Lord on Sunday, October 28th, 2018. Graveside funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Pleasantville Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Joshua Patterson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Heather was born in Rockingham County to the late Melody Dianne Paschal Brim and Charles Wayne May. Heather was a wonderful daughter, sister and mother who worked hard whether it was waitressing or painting. The close family who knew Heather well knew the fun loving, happy Heather who had a laugh that would light up the room. Heather fought many years with addiction but had, in the last year, gotten clean and back to the person her family knew and loved. Heather fought hard to stay that person. Many times Heather spoke of wanting to help others with addiction. We hope, since she was unable to do so in life, maybe she could in death. Heather was loved dearly and had an amazing support system, she will be missed. In addition to her parents Heather is preceded in death by the father she knew all her life and loved, Stanley Dixon Brim and her best friend, William Anthony Dowless. She is survived by her daughters Kayla Richardson (Jean) of Walnut Cove, Hailey Dowless of Reidsville and McKenzie Dowless of Walnut Cove; her brothers Donald May (Dana) and William May; her grandchildren, Willow Richardson, Cora Richardson, Brooklyn Richardson, Luke Dowless and Eugene Duncan.
