Glendora Stiers Roberts

Glendora Stiers Roberts, 91, went home to be with The Lord peacefully on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at the Rockingham County Hospice Home surrounded by her loving family. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor CA “Sandy” Brown and Pastor Steve Housewright officiating. The burial will follow in Evergreen Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday, December 14 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at Nub and Kathy’s home (531 Dairy Road). Mrs. Roberts was born in Rockingham County to the late Arthur and Elsie Wimbish Stiers. She was retired from Unifi, formerly Macfield, with over 30 years of service. She enjoyed looking up recipes, cooking and especially loved her flowers. Mrs. Roberts considered others first and was always generous to her family and friends. Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, George A. Roberts; her sister, Ruby Knight; her brothers, Michael Stiers, Frank Stiers, RA “Snooks” Roberts, Jack Roberts and Wayne Roberts. She is survived by her brother, Kenneth “Nub” Roberts and wife, Kathy; a large extended family and friends; and her special feline friend of 15 years, SOX!
