Geraldine "Gerry" Jones

Reidsville – Geraldine “Gerry” Jones, 86, of Reidsville, passed away on Friday, November 17th, 2017. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 P.M., on Monday, November 20th, 2017, at Grace Fellowship Church, with Dr. John Marks, Rev. Mark Tolodziecki and Rev. Allen Myers officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be held following the service. There will be a private burial in Norfolk, VA. Gerry was born on September 27, 1931, in South Norfolk, VA, to the late Leon Francis White, Sr. and Myrtle Lane White. She was a member of Grace Fellowship Church where she sang in the choir. She was a beloved teacher for 17 years at First Presbyterian Church Child Development Center. Gerry loved to play games with her grandkids, and as one of them said “She was such a good friend”. Gerry was a very loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Rev. Daniel Webster Jones, Jr.; her children, Michael Allen Jones and wife Debra and Colette Leigh Jones Cannon and husband Roger; her grandchildren, Daniel Allen Tippett, Alexandra Gould and husband James and Dewey McLeod Jones, and two step-grandchildren, Skyland Cannon and Daniel Dale Cannon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace Fellowship Church Children’s Park Ministry, 1863 South Park Dr., Reidsville, NC 27320.
