Fred "Monk" William Chrisman

Fred "Monk" William Chrisman, 84, of Reidsville, passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at Jacob’s Creek Health and Rehabilitation Center. Due to Covid 19 restrictions a private graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2020 at Christian Fellowship Church with Rev. Bill McKinney officiating. Fred was born in Stuart, VA to the late George Washington Chrisman and Lilly Bertha Campbell Chrisman. He was a faithful member at Christian Fellowship Church and spent many years restoring old cars. He enjoyed being outdoors and going to car shows and loved all animals but was especially fond of his dogs and chickens. Fred especially loved his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Donnie Wayne Chrisman; sisters, Madelean Chrisman Hill, Shelia Mae Hippe and Emma Jean Scott. He is survived by his daughters, Rita Chrisman Brightwelll and Amanda Chrisman Chouinard; grandchildren, Carmen Tucker, David Streeter, Jr., Rodney Worley, Haley and Tyler Chouinard and Kayla Rippy; special granddaughter, Donna Chrisman; 7 great grandchildren;2 great great grandchildren; brothers, Billy and Rocky Chrisman; special nephew, Tracy Chrisman as well as many other nieces and nephews; many longtime friends.
