Dorothy Alene Carter Sipe

Reidsville-Dorothy Alene Carter Sipe, 96, of Reidsville, NC passed away on August 11, 2020. A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 14, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. Rev. Peter Dodge officiating at Reidlawn Cemetery. Alene was born in Rockingham County to the late Sam Buck Carter and Nanny Pearl Moore Carter. She attended Reidsville Alliance Church for many years. Alene worked in the textile field in Burlington, NC, until her retirement, at which time she moved back home to Reidsville. She enjoyed entertaining her family at holiday events, especially Christmas. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, John Sipe, son, Mark Sipe, brothers, Bobby Carter and Randolph Carter, and sisters, Margaret Fox and Rachel Glass. Survived by sister, Carol Scott, sister-in-law, Dora Sipe, and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Brian Center Health and Rehabilitation of Eden at 226 N Oakland Ave, Eden, NC 27288.
