Delcie Mae "Sissy" Easter

Delcie Mae “Sissy” Easter, 83 passed away on Sunday, September 30, 2018 surrounded by her family. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Charles Scarlett officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Delcie was born to the late John Artie Chilton Sr. and Annie Elizabeth Finney in Rockingham County. She retired from Lorillard Tobacco with over 30 years of service. She loved her animals especially her chickens. She loved the outdoors, golfing, fishing and gardening but most of all she loved her family. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Cecil F. Easter; brothers, B. Frank Chilton, George Thomas Chilton, Colonel Lee Chilton Sr., John Artie “John Tom” Chilton Jr., John A. “Dottie” Chilton, Fletcher “Pete” Chilton; grandsons, James M Carter Jr. and an infant. She is survived by her daughters, Robin Nixon (Stevie), Teresa McCollum; granddaughters, Crystal and Carissa Shelton; great grandchildren, Hunter, Christopher, Leon, Brandi, Christian, Braxton, Brooklyn, and McKenzie “Sissy” as well as a large extended family. The family would like to thank Hospice of Rockingham County for their dedicated care and service during their time of need.
