David "Dave" Bryan Wilson

David “Dave” Bryan Wilson, 84, of Reidsville, passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, October 18, 2019 at Evergreen Memory Gardens with Pastor Ralph Clayton officiating. Masonic graveside rites will be performed by the Jefferson Penn Masonic Lodge #384 A.F. & A.M. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Dave was born in Guilford County to the late Thomas Bryan Wilson and Agatha Wilson Wilson. He graduated from Stokesdale High School as co-valedictorian and Oak Ridge Military Institute (2 year college division) and continued his education at Guilford College night classes. As a practicing CPA for over 50 years, much of that time dedicated to his own practice in Reidsville, AICPA and NCACPA awarded him with life memberships. He was a charter member at Faith Christian Church where he served in many capacities. He served his country proudly in the US Army and was recalled by President Kennedy in 1961 to serve again at the time of the Berlin Crisis. Dave has dual memberships in the Jefferson Penn Masonic Lodge #384 and the Oak Island Masonic Lodge #758 as well as several other Masonic bodies. For 35 years he was honored to be a member of the NC Masonic Foundation Inc. giving him the opportunity to form long lasting friendships. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings, Harold, Julia, Zan, Wallace, and an infant sister. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Camille Stone Wilson; children, Maurya Wilson and Rand Wilson and wife, Kim; grandchildren, Clay and Cathryn Wilson; sisters, Audrey W. Tucker and Agatha W. Martin and husband, Don; sisters-in-law, Betty M. Wilson and Dorothy P. Wilson; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and his constant canine companion Dora Fayssoux. He was a deeply thoughtful, honest, truthful, hard working and principled man who loved the promises of God, especially that of eternal life. In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
