Bette Myrick Cobb Busick

Bette Myrick Cobb Busick, 86, of 814 McCoy Road, went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 10, 2018 at Annie Penn Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ryan Burris officiating. The family will see friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00PM until 1:45 PM. at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. At other times the family will be at the home. Bette was born in Rockingham County to the late Lonnie Talmadge and Cleo Kelley Myrick. She was a retiree of the American Tobacco Company and a member of Baptist Temple Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sons, David Cobb, Bobby Cobb, and Jeff Busick; grandson, Charlie Banks Busick; sisters, Lois Johnson, Mamie Johnson and Ruby Gilliam; brothers, Corbert, Ray, Adam and Ernest Myrick. and caregivers, Diane Wilson, Debra Carter, Dorothy Slade and Latoya Smith. Survivors include her husband, Banks ‘B.A.”Algin Busick; grandson, Brian Cobb; great granddaughter, Chaely Busick; daughters-in-law, Susan Edwards and husband, Jim and Tamara Garcia; brother-in-law, Jack Johnson; several wonderful nieces and nephews; caregivers, Diane Wilson, Debra Carter, Dorothy Slade and Latoya Smith and a host of Christian family and friends at Baptist Temple.
