Benjamin Cozart Land

Benjamin “Benny” Cozart Land, 78, passed away on Sunday, February 17, 2019 at Richland Place in Greensboro, NC. A Memorial service will be held Sunday February 24, 2019 at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel at 3:00 PM with Rev. Randy Hester and Rev. Jack Land officiating. Visitation for friends and family will be held one hour prior to the service at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at the home of Vickie Hildabrandt. Benjamin was born on August 12, 1940 in Rockingham County to the late Jesse James Land and Ellen Rice Land. He was a great husband and excellent father and grandfather. He was an expert carpenter and even built their present home. Benny loved telling jokes, attending flea-markets and working on cars. He was a longtime member of Baptist Temple, even going on several mission trips to Honduras. His hardworking nature found him forever helping others with any job that they needed. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers and four sisters. Benjamin is survived by his wife, Judy Smith Land of the home; two daughters: Vickie Hildebrandt and husband, Randall and Tammy Hall and husband, Dwayne both of Reidsville; grandchildren: Emily Gunn of Reidsville, Heather Blakely and husband, Kristopher of Ruffin, and Benjamin Dylan French and wife, Danielle of Reidsville; two great grandchildren: Braeden and Tyler; one brother, Rev. Jack Land and one sister, Dorothy Watkins Easter.
