Adell Elizabeth Poindexter

Adell Elizabeth Poindexter, 96, passed away Tuesday morning, April 13, 2021 at Annie Penn Hospital in Reidsville, NC. A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at Reidlawn Cemetery in Reidsville, with Pastor Mike Kent officiating. Friends and family are invited to come to the funeral home on Thursday morning between 8:30am-12pm to see Adell and sign the register book. Adell was the daughter of the late Roy F. Poindexter and Nora Stanley Poindexter, born December 27, 1924. She spent most of her life in the Pelham community and worked at Dan River Mills for 45years. She was a member of Lively Stones Baptist Church. She is survived by her brothers, Tommie Poindexter and wife Sandra, John “Buck” Poindexter and wife Pat, Clyde “Dan” Poindexter and wife Fay; sisters, Delane Bailey, Myrtle Bailey, Clara Marshall and husband Avery; in addition to numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Leroy Poindexter; sisters, Allene Lee, Estelle Hamlett, Nora Alderson; and one special nephew, Charles Gauldin. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her honor to Lively Stones Baptist Church, 2347 Chandler Mill Rd, Pelham, NC 27311.
