Obituaries

Reidsville: Essie Langley Jefferson, 69, of 929 Thomas Street, passed away on Monday, March 8, 2010 at her home.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, March 12, 2010 in Reidlawn Cemetery with Rev. Douglas Bray officiating.

Mrs. Jefferson was born in Rockingham County and is a daughter of the late John and Francy Dixon Langley.  She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist Faith. She was preceded in death by 3 children, Andy Jefferson, Randy Jefferson and Lisa Jefferson.

Survivors include her husband, Raymond Woodrow Jefferson of the home; son,
Robert Raymond Jefferson; daughter, Angela Jefferson Barnes and husband, Anthony; grandchildren, Wendy Willard, Ricky Willard, Crystal Jefferson, Ashley Jefferson, Angel Jefferson; brother, William Langley; sisters, Bonnie Nance and Lillie Langley.

The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral home on Thursday, March 11 from 6-8 PM. and other times the family will be at the residence.
