Franklin Delano Watkins

Franklin Delano Watkins, 84, of Reidsville, passed away on Monday, October 9, 2017 at his home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M., on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Ray Greene and Rev. Frank Goins officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memory Gardens. Franklin was born in Rockingham County to the late Rufus and Bessie Knight Watkins. He was a veteran of the US Army and a retiree of United Dairy with 38 years service. Survivors are his wife, Doris Gwynn Watkins; sons, Ronald Watkins and wife, Jane and Ricky Watkins and wife, Janice; grandchildren, Beverly Moore and husband, C.L., Joshua Watkins and wife, Robin, Andrew Watkins and his three children and Daniel Watkins and wife, Lindsey; great grandchildren, Justin Moore, Kalie Moore and Emma Watkins and sisters, Lib Taylor and Dorothy Clymer. The family will see friends on Wednesday evening from 6-8 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at the home.
