Edward H. Longmire

Reidsville – Edward H. Longmire, 69, of Reidsville, passed away on Wednesday, November 1st, 2017. A Cajun memorial service will be held at 6:00 P.M., on Wednesday, November 8th, 2017, at the First Church of the Living God, 1620, Pecan Rd., with Rev. Pete Hutchens and Rev. John Wicker officiating. Edward was born on September 5, 1948, in Blacksburg, VA. He attended Fort Defiance Military School and King’s College of Charlotte. He was an avid motorcyclist, owned a motorcycle shop and raced flat track bikes. He was a vintage music aficionado. He retired from the State of North Carolina Corrections Division. Edward was a master chef and food connoisseur, with a passion of sharing his love of cooking with others. He loved the Lord and was passionate about his commitment to his church and his community. Edward was preceded in death by his parents Hampton and Elizabeth Dorsey Longmire. He is survived by his son, Robert Edward Longmire. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Church of the Living God, 1620 Pecan Rd., Reidsville, NC 27320.
